Delivery

What is the actual weight and volumetric weight?

Actual weight is the weight of a parcel, obtained by weighing it. Volumetric weight is calculated based on the dimensions of the parcel.

The cost for the delivery of a large but light parcel may be more expensive than the delivery of a smaller but heavier parcel. In other words, the delivery of a 10 kg 50x50x50 box will cost the same as the delivery of a 20 kg 50x50x50 box. In most cases, the volumetric weight is only slightly different from the parcels actual weight, but there are exceptions. To make the difference between the volumetric weight and the actual weight as small as possible, we try to densely pack the goods in the parcels, whenever possible. This allows filling the package and avoiding its emptiness, which leads to savings on the shipping costs.
